Striking vintage American sculptural table lamp dating to approximately the 1980s, featuring an abstract intertwined flame/ribbon form in high-gloss black ceramic surrounding a luminous white frosted glass globe.
The dramatic openwork silhouette creates a beautiful interplay of sculpture, light and negative space. Sweeping organic forms wrap around the illuminated globe, giving the lamp a distinctly Postmodern / Art Deco Revival character and making it equally compelling illuminated or turned off.
An identical example of this lamp in our collection retains its original “Made in the U.S.A.” flag label and numbered “Inspected By” production label.
