~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A striking 1970s lucite and chrome lounge chair with vivid red upholstered cushions and a sculptural Art Deco revival silhouette. The chair features thick transparent lucite arms that flow into cylindrical front legs, chrome lower leg sleeves, exposed circular hardware, and a tall upholstered back with a rounded architectural profile.
The design closely relates to documented Leon Frost for Lion in Frost lucite armchairs from the 1970s, including the same arm shape, leg construction, fastener placement, upholstery proportions, and overall profile. This example is currently unmarked / unsigned, so it is being offered as attributed to / in the manner of Leon Frost for Lion in Frost.
The red upholstery gives the chair a bold, gallery-like presence — more dramatic and collectible-looking than many neutral examples. A standout accent chair for interiors inspired by modern Art Deco, 1970s design, Space Age glamour, or high-end eclectic interiors.
Condition: good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear to the upholstery. Solid, comfortable, and ready for use.
